Turn The Peaks Pink

We are delighted to announce an exciting event for this year’s Organ Donation Week: Turn the peaks pink!

This challenge will celebrate organ donation across the UK in support of #OrganDonationWeek 2024, with a simultaneous summit of 6 famous peaks across the UK:

  • Ben Nevis (Scotland)
  • Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon, North Wales)
  • Scafell Pike (Lake District, England)
  • Pen Y Fan (South Wales)
  • Snaefell (Isle of Man)

And our very own Slieve Donard.

Organ Donation Week runs from Monday 23 – Sunday 29 September, and the peaks challenge will take place on the Friday 27 September.  It will commence in the morning and all peaks will be turned pink for the simultaneous summit at 2pm.

The information booklet below has all the information you should need to decide if you wish to take part. Slieve Donard details are found on P5, and general information about fitness, clothing, footwear etc is found on pages 7 and 8.

The registration link is:

Last date for registrations is Friday 16 August 2024.

If you feel the challenge is for you, please register your details and secure your place.

Please note:

There is no cost to take part in the event.  However, there is a cost to run the challenge therefore numbers are capped at 100 people.  With this in mind, please only register if you definitely intend to take part, not just to hold a place as this will incur a cost and may prevent others from getting involved.

For those who would like to share their donation or transplant story as part of this challenge, please make this known at the relevant section on the registration form.  Story sharing will really help us spread the message of the importance of organ donation and transplantation.

We hope to see you and your supporters there!
